Bought this for my recently-purchased used Schwinn bike which didn't have a kickstand. It installed in about 2 minutes. Have it set on the 2nd longest setting, probably would have been better with a fixed length kickstand which might have been lighter (this is quite heavy). Seems to work fine so far. -- So far so good

We bought two of these for our daughters' 16 and 20 inch bikes. One of them worked great and installed easily, and we are happy with it's performance. It works easily enough for her and holds the bike up, which are pretty much the only requirements!

However the second one did not work at all. The adjustment screw would not move and stripped trying to open it. However, the Amazon return system worked perfectly. I chose replacement and they sent another one with one-day shipping. I printed a return slip for the broken one and the mailman picked it up, and I got an email when it was received. No additional payments were required. This is way less hassle than it would have been if I bought it locally. So, I'd say the quality is hit or miss, but if you get a good one, it works well. -- Excellent for kids' bikes - hit or miss quality

I bought this to put on my 6 year olds bike and it works great. Easy to install and very sturdy.
